Fundraising activities at Calder High School
Fundraising events at Calder High School are in full swing as students and staff prepare for their project in Uganda this July.
Activities so far have included students washing teachers' cars, selling slices of chocolate cake and challenging tasters to discover the recipe and, last but not least, a sponsored crawl. Proceeds from a non-uniform day and a school play and raffle have also gone towards the project.Further plans for May include:
Ready, Steady, Cook! - staff members will be chefs for the day and cook their favourite dishes. It costs £5 to enter the competition and £2.00 to watch.
CHS has Talent! - auditions will be taking place for Calder High's very own talent show, open to all staff and students.
Jump for Cash! - Calder High's Assistant Headteacher and Director of Post 16 Studies has signed up for a tandem skydive to help raise money for the project…
