Leadership Training in Uganda
Kampala, UgandaTBC 2010 (2 weeks)About this project
This project is a tailored project for a team to volunteer in Kampala, Uganda giving support to our Expert Partner which runs a range of microfinance and income generating programs as part of their HIV/AIDS initiative. The project aims to look at ways of developing their leadership and innovation capacity. With the skills, energy and passion in place, further leadership development will enable REACHOUT to fully realise its organisational goals. Having had so many years of success, The Great Generation see is as essential that the organisation exercises its capacity to be innovative and revisit the needs of the community using new approaches.
To take part in this project selected staff must fill in a volunteer registration form. To confirm a place on the project you will need to transfer a £100 non-refundable donation. Volunteers are asked to fundraise a set amount of money that covers your flights, food, local transport and accommodation. Most of the services we use on the project, such as accommodation, food and transport, are sourced from the community you will be working in to help stimulate the local economy.
Briefings
Volunteers must attend two half-day briefings. It is important that you attend both briefings as we use this time to do planning for the project as well as getting you prepared for the community you will be volunteering in for the two weeks.
