08.30 Breakfast at the apartment in Vasant Kunj
09.30 Walk to work
10.00 - 11.30 1st class of the day teaching kids with mental and physical disabilities; volunteers separated into 2 groups, one teaching art classes and the other teaching music and dance
11.30 Break for some Indian tea
11.45 - 01.00 Classes switch over
01.00 - 02.00 Break for lunch, cooked locally and brought to the school for staff and volunteers
02.00 – 03.00 Teaching music and dance to a group of 40 financially disadvantaged kids
03.00 – 04.00 Making puppets and set design in preparation for a grand finale show
04.30 Daily debrief to discuss how everyone’s feeling, what we’ve seen and learnt as well as what we’ve achieved and plans for the next day
5.30 – 7.00 Some free time before heading out for dinner…
